Course Objectives


Through this course, learners will be equipped with the knowledge and skillsets required of a Senior Security Officer. This includes being able to obtain and record surveillance information accurately using appropriate surveillance equipment in accordance with relevant legal and organisational requirements. Officers would be able to perform remote access surveillance functions using  security software programmed and equipment such as CCTV, computers, recorders and monitor.

The aim of this course is to introduce the learners to the private security industry at the Senior Security level, with enhancements made to the technical skillset of a Senior Security Officer. The learning units is deliberately sequenced in this manner to enhance the learning effectiveness and it is based on the profile and job role of a Security Officer.

Thus, the sequencing of the learning units will follow the daily routine of a Senior Security Officer, which includes starting from

  •  LUI: Operate Remote Surveillance.
  • LU2: Identify abnormal and suspicious behaviours
  • LU3: Analyse and Report Abnormal Behaviours
  • LU4: Escalate and Conclusion of Remote surveillance Operations

Learners need to attain at least  75% attendance and pass the course to obtain the Statement of Attainment (SOA)

Minimum Entry Requirements


  • Have completed the Basic Licensing Units
  • Education: at least primary school education

Individuals who do not meet the entry requirements will be subjected to interview before acceptance into the course.
