Course Objectives


Through this course, learners will be able to attain the knowledge and abilities required of a security personnel to perform security duties, such as access control duties at protected areas and protected places.

The Course Consists of 4 Learning Units:
• LU 1: Perform access control duties at protected areas and protected places
• LU 2: Handle security incidents involving suspicious activities at protected areas and protected places
• LU 3: Handle security incidents involving suspicious vehicles at protected areas and protected places
• LU 4: Handle prohibited activities at protected areas and protected places

Learners need to attain at least  75% attendance and pass the course to obtain the Statement of Attainment (SOA)

Minimum Entry Requirements


Learners should be able to listen to, speak, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 3; and

– Use numeracy skills equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 3.

Individuals who do not meet the entry requirements will be subjected to interview before acceptance into the course.
