Course Objectives


Cybersecurity is a popular topic, but many are ignorant of the purpose. We are living in a digital era where data is everything. We must understand that all information about ourselves that we either store or access using out many mobile devices or wearables, is much more vulnerable than ever before. We often hear about data breaches and cases of identity theft that affect millions of consumers. Two years ago, WannaCry ransomware encrypted millions of computers. As individuals we are equally at risk of becoming a victim any day any time. So, the question is not if but when. The only way out is to build a good cyber hygiene habit by learning the methods and means staying away from cybercrimes.

Course Description


Cyber threats and crimes are not just news stories; they’re real risks that could impact you, your family, and your business any day. This workshop strips away the complexities of cybersecurity, providing you with essential tools and knowledge to protect yourself and others effectively. By the end of this workshop, you will:

• What is cyber threat or crime and security?
• Why should we be alarmed of cybersecurity?
• Could I be a victim of cybercrime any day?
• Why do I need protection from cybercrime?
• How can I Secure myself from Cyber threats?
• What more should I do to protect others?

This One-day workshop covers the elements and importance of cyber threat and crime, that is rampant around us. An individual or a group may be easily falling as a victim of such crime or threat. We all need to be aware of situations where/when we are not secured. We should practice good Cyber Hygiene to ensure enough protection from such incidents. This will cause any individual’s Cybersecurity posture to improve substantially. While inculcating the practice of “See something, do something” each of us can strengthen the security of the society as well.

Any individual who has accesses to the Internet or uses any application connected to it.

Minimum Entry Requirements


• If you are concerned of the protection of your loved ones and yourself from cybercrime.
• If you had been a victim or is suspecting to be a victim of any cyber-crime or scam.
• If you can read, write, and speak in basic English.
