Learners will be able to attain knowledge and capabilities to handle security irregularities emergencies efficiently and effectively at clients’ premises.

Course Title : Incident Response Handle Security Incidents and Services (HSIS)

The Course Consists of 4 Learning Units: 
• LU 1: Report and respond to security incidents.
• LU 2: Handle incidents relating to property, facilities and fire.
• LU 3: Handle incidents relating to crime, threats, and alleged offences.
• LU 4: Provide evidence in investigation and court proceedings.

Learners need to attain at least  75% attendance and pass the course to obtain the Statement of Attainment (SOA)

Minimum Entry Requirements


  • Learners should have a basic understanding of the organization’s vision mission and values, service offering, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and understand the need for optimal security outcomes
  • Learners are also assumed to:

– Have a sense of duty and responsibility on the job.

– Be disciplined and able to follow instructions given.

  • Learners are expected to be between 21 and 65 years of age and come from a diverse background. Most of them should have a basic orientation towards providing security services and already have some working experience. A minority of the learners may be new to the industry or are considering a position in the industry.
  • Learners should be able to listen to speak, read, and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 3; and use numeracy skills equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 3.

Individuals who do not meet the entry requirements will be subjected to interview before acceptance into the course.
