This course is designed for aspiring Senior Security Officer (SSO) course. Covering skills, knowledge and attitude required for security personnel to operate an access control, alarm monitoring and closed circuit television (CCTV) monitoring equipment. Course Code: TGS-2021007118
Identify the access points of entry for different levels of authorised entry
Operate the access control equipment in accordance to organization
Understand Standard Operating Procedures
Report the location of unauthorised entryIdentify the nature of unauthorised entry
Carry out basic troubleshooting and report any equipment fault to the supervisor
Complete relevant documentation relating to the access control equipment
Security officers with a license from Police Licensing and Regulatory Department with 6-months security industry experience; or
Primary School Leaving Certificate (PSLE) or equivalent; or
At least 3 WSQ Statements of Attainment in Workplace Literacy or Numeracy (WPLN) at Level 3 (eg under ESS, ESS)
Basic Computer literacy required

1.5 days’ Training (12 hours)
from 9am to 6pm on Day 1 and 9am to 1pm on Day 2
Summative Assessment by POLWEL (1.5 hours)

This course is designed to provide skills and knowledge for the security personnel to be familiar with the nature and types of enquiries and request that may arise in the workplace and the appropriate responses required for good customer service.
Learning Outcomes:
Learn how to handle client enquiries and requests
Be able to handle telephone enquiries and requests
Provide information and assistance to visitors
to deal with complaints, emergencies and unexpected situations
