Course Description

Through this course, learners will be able to attain the knowledge and skills on how to apply appropriate procedures to operate basic security, access control, alarm monitoring and closed circuit television (CCTV) monitoring equipment at the workplace.

The Course Consists of 3 Learning Units:

  • LU 1: Operate access control equipment
  • LU 2: Operate alarm monitoring equipment
  • LU 3: Operate CCTV monitoring equipment
Entry Requirements
Requirements

Entry Requirements:

  1. Physical and medical requirement: able-bodied to work as a Security Officer and not colour-blind or hearing impaired.
  2. Age and work experience: between 25 to 65 years old with a basic orientation towards providing security services; able to apply knowledge of basic workplace safety and health.
  3. Education: at least primary school education.

(Individuals who do not meet the entry requirements will be subjected to interview before acceptance into the course.)

  • 39 years old & below: $190.00 (50%)
  • Singapore PR: $190.00 (50%) (regardless of age)
