Course Description

What You'll Learn

The Course Consists of 3 Learning Units:

  • LU 1: Develop a workplace learning plan and prepare to induct new security officers
  • LU 2: Conduct induction on access control, patrolling, security alarm systems, and reception duties
  • LU 3: Provide feedback and guidance on work progress and emergencies

Requirements

Pre-requisites:

  1. Read, write, and speak English at WPL Level 5
  2. Manipulate numbers at WPN Level 5
  3. Act in a professional manner
  4. Observe confidentiality
  5. Be vigilant at all times
  6. Physical and medical requirements
    • Certified by a medical doctor to be physically fit for work
    • Must not be colour-blind or hearing impaired
  7. Basic skills in operating a computer.
  8. Smartphone with an internet connection and QR code scanner function (this will be used during the POLWEL assessment).

(Individuals who do not meet the entry requirements will be subjected to an interview before acceptance into the course.)
